Black Box Safety, Inc. is proud to announce that President, Jackson Dalton was recently awarded with the Prestigious CalVet John K. Lopez award, by the California Department of Veterans Affairs.
Marine Corps Korean War veteran John K. Lopez, for whom the award is named, was instrumental in advocating for entrepreneurial development for disabled veterans. To honor Lopez who passed in 2015, CalVet recognizes a service disabled veteran-owned business annually with this award during the State Agency Recognition Awards (SARA). The CalVet John K. Lopez Award for Business Excellence is the highest award given by the California Department of Veteran Affairs.
Jackson is very involved with and committed to the Supplier Diversity community. After medically retiring from the United States Marine Corps., Jackson made it his mission to volunteer with non-profit organizations that focus on Veterans enterprises and entrepreneurship. Over the past 4 years he has devoted his time to mentoring fellow Veterans by providing insight and best practices so that their veteran owned business can succeed in the small business space.
We are honored and would like to thank the California Department of Veterans Affairs for recognizing and selecting us to be the recipients of the Individual Excellence Award.
